I have a major confession to make! I am extremely technologically challenged. I don’t understand specifications that every gadget comes with and I only read the user manual when I need something to put me to sleep. Then how do I go fall in love with gadgets? Simply by using them.
When it comes to phone; I am extremely finicky too. I don’t go for big brands or phones loaded with features. I have a simple checklist with 3 conditions. But I haven’t been able to come across any phone that fulfills my conditions until recently. So what were my conditions and which phone managed to rise to the occasion? Read on J
Condition 1: Excellent front and back camera
These photos were taken in Goa last week when my camera had a sudden dead. Thankfully the Asus Zenfone Laser 2’s camera came to the rescue and I clicked selfies and photos to my heart’s content! The camera quality I must admit is excellent and the various modes make it fun to experiment and learn new techniques.
Condition 2: Long lasting battery
Our phones are our lifeline and one wouldn’t want his or her lifeline to die out in the middle of the day, right? That is why my ideal phone needs to have a long battery life. Sure, I carry my power bank around but it is no fun when you want to talk on the phone or click a photo or use an app and you have a power bank hanging on to your phone for its dear life! I remember going on a 3 hour drive with fellow bloggers in Goa where we had to click tons of photos and tweet extensively to win some cool challenges. By the time the first 90 minutes were up, people were grabbing their power banks but not me. My phone battery lasted me throughout the challenge and till the time I reached home! Now that is impressive.
Condition 3: M for…
“Ah, music,” Dumbledore said, wiping his eyes. “A magic beyond all we do here!” and I can’t help but agree with him. I need my music at every point of time. When I have painful cramps during PMS and want to listen to a soothing piano or when I seriously pissed off and wouldn’t mind some Mettalica. There are days when I listen to Snow Patrol and blush or tap my feet as I listen to the American Authors. My phone is the source of my music and it therefore has to be fantabulous.
