Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal in True Black: Review and Swatch

Eyes, I believe, are the most glamourous accessory a woman has and it is important to accentuate them with kajal. I, however, had given up on it because all those chemicals present in kajal of various brands would make me tear up. I had one allergic reaction after another and eventually, I just gave up on it.

When Plum, sent across Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal in True Black, I must admit that I was a little worried. But then, their amazing ingredient list made me want to give this kajal a shot. So, before I go on to tell you what I thought about this product, why don’t we have a look at the product first?

About the product

Angelic goodness in a super-soft kajal
For over 12 hours every day, the tender areas of your eye and skin absorb everything that’s in your kajal. Shouldn’t your kajal be safe and all-natural? Angel Eyes true black kohl kajal with no synthetic dyes, preservatives or other chemicals. Cushion-like softness is thanks to a cocktail of jojoba oil, macadamia oil and chamomile extracts. Specially formulated for dusty, tropical climes like India with high exposure to sun and pollution.
Price
Rs.425/- for 1.14g

Ingredients

Jojoba oil, Macadamia oil, Chamomile flower extracts and Mango seed oil

Body/ Packaging

Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal comes in a pencil form, which can be sharpened easily. Its cap is a good fit and this makes the kajal travel friendly. I love the colours they have used; so bright and cheery.

Plum has an offer going at the moment and with every kajal you buy, you get a cute Posh Pencil sharpener free.

Plum Kohl Kajal on my eyes

My review

Wasn’t my cute little heart swatch worth a thousand words? Yes, I am in love with Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal and I just couldn’t resist drawing! Now, coming to the actual review; I love the way this kajal glides on to my eyes. In the first stroke, the colour is not that intense but in the second stroke, you get a decent colour. This kajal is not water proof or smudge proof and I think it will be difficult to use it during monsoons, especially in a city like Mumbai.

However, Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal does not make my eye itch or water and this is the most important factor for me. It has a lasting power of about 4 to 5 hours, which is really decent. Most kajals, even the ones that claim 12 hour staying power usually start fading in a couple of hours. It also a cooling effect and it soothes my eyes.

Overall, I deeply impressed with the ingredient list and its quality. This kajal is definitely going to feature in my must own list

Pros

Chemical free
Travel friendly
Easy to apply and use
Lovely packaging
Cruelty free

Cons

Not water or smudge proof
A little on the expensive side

Rating: 4 out of 5
