Off late, I have been really obsessed about pink lip balms and when I came across the Essence lip balm in the mango ice cream variant, I squealed with delight. The colour and the name were so tempting that I had to review it right away!

Essence Mango Ice cream glossy lip balm comes in a transparent tube with a pink cap. It has a slanted nozzle that makes application very easy and the transparent tube helps you to restock it when you are about to run out of the product.
My Review
First things first; I love the colour of the lip balm. Its neither too bright nor too dull. It is a nice light shade that you can wear on casual occasions. The colour however does not last for long and you may have to reapply every couple of hours. The moisturization however lasts and my lips have remained hydrated for really long even though I did not reapply the Essence Mango Ice cream lip balm on certain occasions.
One thing that you must remember while applying the lip balm is that always look into the mirror if you want the colour to show on your lips properly. Also, the lip balm is very lightweight and it feels good against the lips
Now, when a product name is so tempting, I tend to have really high expectations from the fragrance. But I was really disappointed. It smelled nothing like mango ice cream and it was really strong. This was a major turn off for me personally.

Overall verdict: Since the fragrance of a lip balm is an important factor for me, I am going to rate this lip balm 3 out of 5. Except for the fragrance, it is a good quality affordable lip balm which you can definitely try this summer.
